Ink sketch by Linda Swinfield

Newcastle Printmakers 2017

For this workshop participants came with research material based on their interpretations of a tree. Images ranged from a wooden boat, to growth and seed as abstract forms, as seen in these 3 images. Ideas were painted first with brush and ink, and then carved from pieces of wood and lino. Relief prints were then made using various printing methods. Pictured above is an ink sketch by Linda Swinfield.
